I tried to be as faithful as possible to the original painting by Gerald Brom. In the end I my wife and I liked the result so much that we have decided to keep the figure in our personal collection.

Here was the fantasy genre taken seriously with characters who felt real and themes that spoke to human nature. This bust sculpted by Raul Garcia Latore captured Conan perfectly so I had to bring him alive with my paint as a tribute to this character and film.
